· That might be an IR sensor input. It allows you to place an IR sensor on the TV and route the wire to the cable box mounted behind the TV. Have you tried the Comcast/Xfinity IP driver? I've used it a couple times with great results. Not sure if your cable box is compatible, but it's worth checking.
To use it, connect the IR Extender to the IR In input on the back of the TV Box or TV Adapter. Put the other end of the IR Extender somewhere that allows a direct line of sight between it and the remote.

Use a mono cable. This plugs into where your IR emitter is on your blaster. Plug the other end into IR on the back of your Cisco box. That will get your IR blaster working. As for where the sensor is, that is not specified by Cisco. I believe that is due to the IR port on the back, which is becoming more and more common across devices.

· It is surprising that there is no manual available from the box manufacturer that would show where everything is on the front panel including the IR sensor. If you are trying to put the cable box in a closed cabinet and use an IR blaster to maintain remote control access, it is impossible without knowing the location of the the cable box.
